7.30 – 8.15pm Basic Hebrew reading: Almost completed learning letters and vowels, now reading prayers.

8.15 – 9.30pm Shavuot, Mishnah, Talmud and Midrash

         4 June Shavuot almost here, discuss how cheese, first fruits and the 10          Commandments fit together.

         11 June Study some passages from the Mishnah; learn about the famous rabbis of          classical Jewish study.

         18 June The Talmud. Why fascinating for Jewish People for the last 1,500 years and          increasingly popular?

         25 June Some fascinating texts through the eyes of medieval masters: Midrash and          commentary with Rashi.

Thursdays

7.30 – 8.15pm Prayer book Hebrew. Improve reading/translating basic prayers with basic grammatical rules

8.15 – 9.30pm Judaism 101. Everything you wanted to know about basic Judaism but were afraid to ask!

         6 June What happens after death? The Olam Haba.

         13 June Can we ever know God? The via negativa.

         20 June What is prophecy? How does one get to be a prophet?

         27 June The purpose behind the commandments, including kashrut.
